A NEW AUDUBON MUSICAL IS IN THE WORKS
!

As part of the 5th Annual Leavenworth Spring Bird Fest a thirty minute segment of the new Audubon musical, “Wild Goose Chase,” written in Leavenworth with New York collaboration, will be performed at Sleeping Lady theater in Leavenworth. This shortened version of the musical will feature selected scenes and songs from “Wild Goose Chase” and will be presented by the Icicle Fund, with performances by actors and actresses from New York, Seattle and Leavenworth.

“Wild Goose Chase”, the full length musical, tells for the first time as a love story, of the life of John James Audubon and his devoted wife, Lucy. It describes their struggle on the American frontier and his exquisite paintings of all North American birds. The tremendous conflicts in the life journey of this man and woman are resolved in what is today a national treasure, The Birds of America.

Performances are scheduled for Friday, May 18 at 8:00 P.M. and Saturday, May 19 at 3:00 P.M. Cost: $10 with proceeds to Leavenworth Spring Bird Fest. See the Leavenworth Spring Bird Fest website at www.leavenworthspringbirdfest for more information or call Gail Roberts at (509) 548-7584.
